Career Network Ministry Leadership Award

I was honored to receive the Career Network Ministry 2017 Leadership Award. Since 2009, I've had the privilege collaborating with a wonderful community of volunteers dedicated to assisting job seekers by providing free resources, practical guidance, and the emotional support necessary for a successful job search.

My Origin Story

Service has shaped my professional journey for nearly three decades, first as a U.S. Marine and then in senior civilian leadership roles across multiple federal agencies.  Along the way, I learned that leadership is not defined by rank, title, or authority alone, but by the ability to bring order to complexity, meaning to mission, and dignity to the people who carry it out.

Throughout my career, I have worked at the intersection of leadership, employees, culture, and performance—building frameworks that develop leaders, strengthen teams, and translate strategic intent into operational reality. I have spearheaded initiatives to design leadership and talent development systems, improve organizational effectiveness, and foster collaboration across diverse stakeholders in high-stakes environments.

My approach to leadership is grounded in discipline, accountability, and service, shaped by years of navigating uncertainty and responsibility. I believe that strong institutions are built not only on strategy and structure but also on moral clarity, quiet conviction, and a deep respect for the human spirit. When people feel seen, trusted, and equipped, organizations do more than perform—they endure.

Currently, my focus is on developing leadership skills, designing organizational structures, enhancing performance, and most importantly, helping employees achieve their career aspirations within mission-aligned organizations. Moreover, building human-centered systems that fortify culture, cultivate resilient leaders, and empower institutions to fulfill their purpose with integrity and impact is the focus of my work.

I welcome conversations with leaders and organizations who are seeking not just better results, but better ways of leading—where discipline and compassion, performance and purpose, are not competing forces, but mutually reinforcing ones.

I am committed to designing leaders and systems where discipline, dignity, and purpose reinforce one another.
