Created and Championed HRPPD’s “North Stars” Vision
Proactively filled a leadership void by crafting and socializing U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s HR Policy & Programs Directorate (HRPPD)’s mission, vision, and values— “People, Partnerships, and Production.” Built a SharePoint hub to drive internal awareness and alignment, which strengthened organizational identity, cross-division collaboration, and strategic focus.

Faced with the absence of a clearly defined mission, vision, and core values within HRPPD, I was tasked with developing a unifying framework to strengthen organizational identity and alignment. Spearheaded the creation of “HRPPD’s North Stars”—introducing the guiding principles of the 3 P's: People, Partnership, and Production—to serve as the foundation for the directorate’s culture and operations. To drive engagement and awareness, developed a dedicated SharePoint page that communicated the North Stars, the organizational vision, and the desired end-state, serving as a centralized hub for staff and stakeholders. This strategic initiative fostered a stronger sense of unity, improved cross-functional collaboration, and aligned the workforce toward a common mission, resulting in significantly enhanced organizational coherence, focus, and operational effectiveness.
